Project information

Designed by Framework Architecture and
Urban Design of Lincoln, these 14 homes
were built on a brown field site previously
occupied by the 1950’s built St Catherine’s
Church Hall. After stripping out extremely high levels
of harmful asbestos, the main contractor
T.G. Sowerby Developments proceeded to
demolish the old and dis-used church hall
ready to start the construction of the 14 homes
for tenants of the newly merged Longhurst and
Havelok Homes Ltd. The homes aimed to achieve Code for
Sustainable Homes Level 4 Certification by
introducing:
• NIBE Fighter air exhaust heat pumps
• Solar thermal panels
• Very low fabric ‘U’ values
• Communal rainwater harvesting
• Low internal water use.
